Moving and Handling of People (Theory & Practical)
Course aim :
This half day course provides participants with the practical skills to move people safely in the workplace and explores the theory behind safe working procedures including the avoidance of injury.
Learning outcomes :
- Understand relevant legislation
- Undertake Risk Assessments (TILE)
- Recognise and use principles of movement
- Understand the principles of hoisting
- Prepare an individual for transfer using a sling
- Understand common injuries
